Death of Mr. Benson.
After an illness of several months Edwin M. Benson died at the home of his sister, Mrs. J.K. DeWolf, Wednesday morning, March 17, 1886, at 1 o'clock.

The deceased was in good health until last June when he was taken with pneumonia which developed into consumption. He suffered comparatively little pain and quietly passed away without a struggle.

Mr. Benson was born at Plymouth, Wisconsin, April 25, 1851, and was a twin brother of Mrs. Addison Paul, of Henderson. Three sisters, Mrs. Paul, Mrs. DeWolfe and Mrs. Lute Robbins, and two brothers, Jet Benson,of Athens, Ohio, and W.M. Benson, of Wano, Ks., are left to mourn the departure of a beloved brother.

The funeral will occur from the Presbyterian church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 O'clock. By request of the deceased, Rev. Mr. Case, of Hastings, will conduct the services assisted by Rev. W.V. Jeffries. The friends have the sympathy of the community in their hour of bereavement.
