George Henry McBee
The papers carry the news that a former Glenwood resident, “Grandpop” McBee, had died in Council Bluffs Saturday night at the home of his daughter Mrs. Anna Frye. He had reached the age of 97 and on Christmas day was hale and hearty and seemed food for many more returns of the day. He ate heartily at dinner that day and even indulged afterwards in nuts and candies. Late Christmas night he became quite sick and died as stated above.

The body was brought to Glenwood for burial Monday after the arrival of No. 14.
