Billy Joe Thompson, age 51 of Tabor, IA died Monday, February 14, 2005 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE following an extended illness.

Billy Joe was born December 19, 1953 in West Plains, MO to Everett Thompson and Alberta C. (Yocham) Thompson. On June 4, 1993, he was married to Corinne Millikan in Sharpsburg, IA. Billy Jo worked as a Drug Counselor at Mercy Center in Omaha, NE for a time before going into independent practice in Council Bluffs and Glenwood, IA where he started NA in 1998.

Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Everett (Snook) Thompson and Jerry Dean Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Corinne Thompson of Tabor, IA; 4 daughters, Jera Thompson of Tabor, Jenny Lincoln of Omaha, NE, Jennifer Joe Thompson of Kansas City, MO, and Jamie Cramer and husband Eric of Pacific Jct., IA; 2 sons, Billy Joe (Toby) Thompson, Jr. of Cameron, MO and Jimmy L. Strutten and wife JoAnn of Council Bluffs, IA; 12 grandchildren; sister, Pat Counts and husband Jerry of Granite City, IL; 2 brothers, Leak Thompson and wife Sharon of St. Louis, MO and Charlie Thompson of Leavenworth, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
