Word came to Glenwood Monday from Nishna Botna, Mo., that J.S. Anthony, familiarly known as “Smith,” died suddenly there that morning. He had gone there from Glenwood last week and was visiting with the Endicott family, formerly of Mills County. His brother J.M. Anthony left last night for Missouri to see about having the remains brought back to Glenwood for burial.

The deceased was about fifty years of age and was born in Mills County. He returned several months ago from Denver, where he had lived several years, previous to which time he was an engineer for some years at the Glenwood Institution. He is survived by one son Frank of Lincoln, Neb., and two brothers J.M. and M.N. Anthony, both of Glenwood.
