Malvern Leader
May 14, 1891

After a tedious and painful sickness of about four weeks Wm. H. Anderson passed away Saturday night. His illness assumed a dangerous type from the start, but there was a time when he seemed much better and hopes were entertained for his recovery. However, new complications arose that baffled the skill of the best physicians. The funeral occurred Tuesday under the auspices of the Masonic order and was very largely attended, friends being present from all parts of the county. In his passing away the county loses one of its earliest pioneers and Glenwood one of its most honorable and esteemed citizens. The orphaned children have the tenderest sympathies of the community in their great affliction.
