Ramona Fern Kinsley, 68, of Glenwood, died Sept. 24, 2004, at the Glen Haven Home in Glenwood. Funeral services were held Sept. 28 at the Hertz Funeral Home in Glenwood. Pastor Darrell Hopp officiated the services. Interment was at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Kinsley was the daughter of Roland A. and Thelma E. (Slater) Meyer, born Dec. 12, 1935, in Hiawatha, Kan. She grew up in Hiawatha, where she attended school and graduated in 1953. She married Thomas E. Kinsley on June 2, 1953, in Hiawatha. They made their first home there. In 1954 they moved to Glenwood. They were blessed with three children. Mrs. Kinsley enjoyed her role as a mother and homemaker. In 1965 she began work as a seamstress at LeMode Cleaners in Glenwood. In 1972 she took a position in the sewing department at the Glenwood State Hospital 5chool. She later changed positions and worked as a resident treatment worker. Mr. and Mrs. Kinsley had been married 35 years when Mr. Kinsley died in 1989. Mrs. Kinsley continued to live at her home and work at the Glenwood Resource Center. She retired after 26 years in 1998.

Mrs. Kinsley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gary Kinsley and brother Bobby Meyer. She is survived by daughter Tammy Terveer and husband Dave of Glenwood; son Gregg Kinsley of Glenwood; brother Wesley Meyer of Hiawatha; seven grandchildren; seven great-grand children; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Hertz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
