Mrs. R. M. Adkins died at her home in Henderson last Friday night after a long and painful illness lasting several weeks, from a complication of stomach and bowel trouble.

This is a peculiarly sad case and much sympathy goes out from the whole community to the afflicted husband. Mr. and Mrs. Adkins were only married in February last and in consequence their separation is an ordeal all the more painful for the one surviving. Seldom indeed has there been so short a step between the altar and the grave as in this instance.

Mrs. Adkins was 25 years old at the time of her death and was in truth, an exemplary woman. She was respected and beloved by all her friends and acquaintances who know and appreciate her lovable qualities.
