Final Rites Held For Richard Hubbell - - Richard Henry Hubbell was born October 25, 1864, at Adair, Iowa. He came to Mills County when young and spent most of his life in this community.

He was united in marriage to Sarah Catherine Shelby. Six children were born to them. Five children died in infancy and Mrs. Hubbell preceded him in death in 1934.

When in Glenwood, Mr. Hubbell attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church, and was a faithful worker in the church. He went to Tacoma, Washington, in 1942 and remained there until his death February 22, 1951. He was ill with pneumonia for a few days before passing away at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 27 days.

He is survived by two sons, H.A. Hubbell of Englewood, Calif. and Edwin E. Hubbell of Tacoma, Wash. and one daughter, Mrs. Phillip Hill of Tacoma, also six grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, March 1st at Raynor's Chapel with Rev. Walter Cole officiating. Casket bearers were Raymond Mintle, Bert Colwell, Dan Allen, Chris Wreidt, Thomas Kirk and John Howard. Burial was in the Glenwood cemetery with Raynor Funeral Home in charge.

NOTE: Richard and wife Sarah are buried at Waubonsie Cemetery, Mills County, Iowa.
