Long, Shirley Pauline Miller -
Last rites were held Oct. 27 at Peterson Funeral Home in Glenwood for Shirley Pauline Miller Long, 51, of Glenwood. Mrs, Long died Oct. 23 in an Omaha hospital after suffering a heart attack.
The Rev. Evan Williams of Glenwood First Christian Church and the Rev. Lauris Meek of Weaver Memorial Church of the Nazarene
officiated. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Long was born May 17, 1935, in Corning, daughter of Paul and Minnie Bray Miller. She attended Corning schools and was graduated from high school there.
She and James Long were married June 14, 1952 in Lenox. He died Sept. 27 of this year.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Long of Council Bluffs; two daughters, Barbara Dunsdon of Tabor and Debra Maxwell of Glenwood; her mother, Minnie Bray of Corning; a sister, Nel Bickford of West Des Moines; a brother, Bill Bray of Omaha, and five grandchildren.
Her father and a brother, Ray Keefe, died previously.
