Hiley, Wilda R -
Wilda R. Hiley died suddenly while at work in Glenwood, Ia., November 21, 1972 at the age of 80 years. He was the father of Mrs. Willard Campbell of the Lenox area.
Mr. Hiley was born in McFall, Missouri June 15, 1892 to John and Silva Martin Hiley. He grew up in the Kent vicinity. After his marriage to Bertha Anderson on January 20, 1912 they spent all their married life around the Creston, Kent and Lenox areas except one year in South Dakota.
Eleven children were born to this union. Mrs. Hiley passed away in 1951.
He was later married to Eunice Malone who survives, along with four sons, Ray of Glenwood, Art of Avoca, Donald of San Diego, Calif., Russell of Atlantic Beach, Florida, five daughters, Mrs. Willard Campbell of Lenox, Mrs. Peter Andersen of Newport, Richle, Fla., Mrs. Henry Parks, Boulder, Colorado, Mrs. Chester Sellers of Glenwood, Mrs. Edd Hill of Omaha, Nebr., two step-sons, Jack Malone of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Donald P. of California.
Two brothers, Velda of Corning and Nelson of Burlington Junction, Mo., two sisters, Hazel Snyder and Myrtle Woosley of California, thirty two grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Carl, 18 months, and Dean while serving his country in World War II, also one brother Dorsa.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Glenwood, Iowa Saturday, November 25, 1972 with Rev. Clyde Harmon officiating.
Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery.
