Death Is A Puzzle

MALVERN, Iowa (AP) - School officials in Malvern say they are puzzled over the death of Malvern Community High School's math and driver education teacher Terry Lee Forney.

Forney, 40, was killed in a one-car accident late Sunday on a Mills County road just south officials said the road was slick and Forney apparently lost control of the car before it struck a signpost, hit an embankment and flipped over.

Forney was driving the school car, which was used for the drivers' education course. School officials said Forney had a car of his own, and they say they don't know why he was driving the school vehicle on a weekend night without authorization.
