DEATH OF MRS. L. A. JENKINS.

It is with deep sorrow that we chronicle the passing of Mrs. L. A. Jenkins who died at her home near Wesley Chapel, Sunday, February 21, after an illness of a little more than two weeks. She was first taken sick with quinsy and from this a clot developed in the lung that caused gangrene from which there was no relief.

Funeral services were held from the First Baptist church in Malvern Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. D. E. Killoren. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Collins, P. M. Cadwell and Mrs. F. R. Chantry sang.

Interment was made in the Malvern cemetery. The following obituary was given:

Mittie Dell Morris was born at Slater, Mo., Sept. 5th, 1885, and departed this life Feb. 21st 1926, aged 40 years, 5 months and 16 days.

On Sept. 6, 1903 she was united in marriage to L. A. Jenkins, and to them eight children --- five sons and three daughters were born and survive her. Besides these and her husband she leaves two brothers, Porter Morris of Salter, Mo., and Claud Morris of Kansas City, and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Kirby and Mrs. Ben Reed, both of Malvern.

In young girlhood she professed her faith in Christ as her Savior, following his example in baptism and united with the Baptist church at Slater, Mo., where she retained her membership till death. She was a member of the Home Department of the Malvern Baptist Sunday School and her children were members of the Sunday school until they moved from the vacinity to the Wesley Chapel neighborhood a year ago.
