MALVERN --- Felix Summers, 72, of Malvern, died Thursday at Brian Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

He retired in 1972 and was the National Illustrator for USDA Soil Conservation Service where he received a Superior Service Award. He was a veteran of World War II and was a descendant of the family who first founded Mills County in the early 1800's.

Survivors are his wife, Mary; sons, Gary of Lincoln, Donald of San Rafael, Calif., Jamie of San Francisco, Calif.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home in Malvern.

Burial will be at Malvern Cemetery.
