Services Friday for Armour Gamblin

Graveside services were held at the Martin chapel cemetery, north of Pacific Junction, Friday afternoon for Armour Gamblin, 48, who died suddenly at his home in Omaha Tuesday. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lela Gamblin, twin sons, Dale and Gale, a half-sister, Mrs. Ona Johnson of Omaha, and a half-brother, Wright Perkins, of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Armour Gamblin, at age 27, appears as a single man on the 1920 census taken January 16-17 page Series: T625 Roll: 987 Page: 41, page 16 A, line 19. At this time he is living with his married brother Fred H. Gamblin, age 29, at Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. It shows that Armour was born in Iowa with father born in Tennessee and mother in Illinois. Fred was born in Missouri. Fred’s wife is Lillian age 28, born Iowa with parents born in Denmark. They have a daughter Winnifred, age 7, born in Nebraska.
