Hazel Jane Choate, 98, Glenwood

Hazel Jane Choate, 98, of Glenwood died Oct. 22, 1995, at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood. Funeral services were Thursday at the Peterson Mortuary. Burial was at the Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Victor Enlemann officiating.

Mrs. Choate was born April 15, 1897, to Ralph and Mary (Ward) Reed McPherron in Rawles Township-Mills County. She married Wayne Choate on Nov. 30, 1920, in Glenwood. Hazel was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. For many years, she was a secretary for Mills County Abstract.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the First Congregational Church.
