MILLS COUNTY TRIBUNE
DATED THURS., APRIL 17, 1924

Funeral services for Charles E. Robbins of Malvern, mention of whose death was made in Monday’s Tribune, were held from his late residence on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. D.S. Thompson of the Glenwood Christian Church. Music for the services was furnished by Mesdames F. R. Chantry and L. A. Talbott, with Mrs. L. L. Doner as pianist. The pallbearers were J. W. McNulty, Sam Norton, E. C. Collins, John Clayton, Joe Haldeman and Frank Goodwin. Burial was in Malvern cemetery.

Charles E. Robbins, son of Albert and Sarah Robbins, was born February 8, 1856, in Fairview, Fulton county, Ill., and died April 13, 1924, at Malvern, Ia.

He was married to Maggie Garner November 20, 1890, who with the children is left to mourn his death. The children are Earl C. Robins of Iowa City, Mrs. Ethel Wise of Henderson and Mrs. Melvia Dye of Chicago, Ill., and a son William Lee Robbins, who died September 7, 1920, at Bloominton, Ill. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lora Strawn of Cima, Cal., Mrs. Louisa VanLieu and Mrs. Ann Rodermer of Fairview, Ill.

He spent the early part of his life in Illinois and New Jersey, coming to Nebraska a few years before his marriage, where he lived until he moved to Iowa in 1898. He has since lived in and near Malvern.
