DATED DECEMBER 8, 1904:

Mrs. John Eckert died at her home in Glenwood Thursday night at 10:15 after a lingering illnes of some months with cancer. The funeral was conducted Sunday afternoon at the home by Rev. R. E. Shaw of the Methodist church. Following is an obituary of her life:

Elizabeth Huffman was born Apirl 24, 1839, near Philadelphia, Ohio. Died at Glenwood, Iowa, Dec. 1, 1904.

She was married to John Eckert April 13, 1858. The family moved from Nebraska to Glenwood in 1896. She was a loving wife and mother and leaves to mourn her loss a husband and seven children:

Mrs. John Campbell, Osceola, Neb.; Mrs. Thomas Utterback, Springfield, Ill.; Mrs. Henry Hopps, Genoa, Ill.; Howard and Ellsworth Eckert, Web City, Mo.; Mrs. Jesse Wright and Miss Zula Eckert, Glenwood.
