OPINION TRIBUNE
DATED OCTOBER 30, 1906:

Mrs. Jesse Buckingham, aged 79 years, died at 6 o'clock last Friday evening at the home of her son A. J. Buckingham ten miles south of Glewood.

She was one of the the early day settlers of these parts and had resided in that locality for over 50 years. Her husband died in 1879.

The funeral was held from the Waubonsie Methodist church on Sunday afternoon and was largely attended. It was conducted by Rev. Hawkes of the Burr Oak Friends church.

She is survived by five children Jesse, Sam and A. J. Buckingham and Mrs. Frank Rodman and Mrs. Lafe Haney.
