Walter G. Stille, 86, of Malvern died October 5, 1999 at the Manor of Malvern. Funeral services were October 9, 1999 at Malvern United Methodist Church with burial in the East Liberty Cemetery in Malvern. Rev. Fred Pilecki officiated the services.

Mr. Stille was the son of Ruben and Pearl (McCluskey) Stille, born June 3, 1913 in rural Glenwood. He was married to Opal V. Henderson August 28, 1934 in Emerson. He was involved in the Methodist Church holding various offices at the church in Stennet, Henderson and Malvern. He served on the East Liberty Cemetery Board for 25 years, was involved with and helped with 4-H, Mills County Extension Service, Farm Bureau and various other community activities. He loved farming and being surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert Stille and Ernest Stille; and sisters, Leona Henderson, Pearl Young and Faye Sieck.

Survivors include his wife; son, Bob Stille and wife Barb of rural Malvern; daughter, Jeanne Beno and special friend LeRoy Bower of Beaver Lake, Neb.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Lee Stille of Bartlett, Neb.; sisters, Bedah Anna Huff of Red Oak, and Betty Hansen of Glenwood; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home in Malvern was in charge of arrangements.
