Olaf Nelson was born in Sweden March 8, 1863, and came with his parents to the United States when he was born one daughter. Mrs. Ray came direct to Mills County, where he has since resided with the exception of two years spent in Nebraska.
He was united in marriage with Miss Belle Dwyer in 1892 and to them was born one daughter Mrs. Raymond Mintle. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Ellison Evernham and Mrs. Lewis Storer, and one brother, Carl Nelson, all of Glenwood.
He was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church when a young man and has tried to follow its teachings ever since. A few days before he passed away he expressed himself as to his love for the Bible and was confident his peace was made with God and that he was ready for the Masterís call.
