Memorial services for Mrs. Florence Harris, 80 years, were held at Raynor, Lett, and Kent Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 16, with Rev. Charles E. Cowell, Jr., officiating. Casket bearers were Lester Roller, Elmer Fader, Jack Curtiss, Leonard Fisher, Bill Hunt, and Dwayne Jackson. Usher was Larry Vaness. Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Harris died at Mercy Hospital, Co. Bluffs Nov. 14, after an illness of four weeks. She was born and raised in Pacific Junction, and lived all her life in Mills County. She worked at the Glenwood State Hospital School for 11 years, and was a long-time member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by 4 sons: Howard Kates, P. J.; Harold Kates, Glenwood; Homer Kates, Omaha; and Henry Kates, Terre Haute, Ind.; a brother, Charles Hunter, Anderson, Ia.; and a sister Mrs. Goldie Storey, Co. Blufs; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
