Funeral Services for Mrs. Emma Scott Wednesday

Funeral services were held in Council Bluffs Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. M.A. Banker of Elliott but formerly pastor of the Pacific Junction Methodist church and a friend of the family. The body was brought to Glenwood where burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery.

Emma J. Scott was born April 7, 1851 at Salem, N.C., and died at Council Bluffs on July 5, 1931, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Sellers with whom she had lived for the past 10 years.

She was married to Lafayette Scott at Centerville, Iowa, Nov. 10, 1870, who passed away Nov. 20, 1917. She was the mother of 14 children of whom three sons and three daughters are living. They are Mrs. Marie Beach, Kansas City, Mo.' James Scott, Pacific Junction; Purl Scott, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Nina Sellers, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Carol Penick, Kansas City Mo. Ernest Scott, Council Bluffs. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
