Will of T. M. Blair, Deceased.
March the 14 A. D 1882
Realizing the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of Life, I Thompson M. Blair, of the County of Mills and the State of Iowa do make this Last Will and testament while in the possession of sound mind and memory this 14th day of March Eighteen hundred and 82.
First: I bequeath unto my daughters Nancy R. Blair and Almeda E. Blair the sum of $80 Dollars or its equivalent in household goods as they may choose.
After my just debts and funeral expenses is all paid, I bequeath to my Wife Sarah Blair the remaining part of my property both real and personal to use as she pleases as long as she remains my Widow, and if she should Marry, the property shall be divided leaving my Wife one third. The remainder to be divided equal with my legal heirs and I further provide that my youngest daughter Almed E. Blair, on account of Bad health that she shall be supported if she should live single out of the means given to her mother ‘till she is twenty five years old.
I hereby appoint my Wife Sarah Blair and John R. Blair Executors of this my last will and testament. I further provide that they shall not be compelled to give security for the execution of the foregoing Will.
I the said Thompson M. Blair to this which I declare to be my a last will and testament set my hand and seal day and year above written.

Signed, sealed and acknowledged by the said Thompson M. Blair as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names hereunto as witnesses thereof.

I, J. E. Robinson, Clerk of the District Court, hereby certify that an instrument purporting to be the last Will and Testament of T. M. Blair of Mills County, Iowa, was presented, read and filed on the 18th day of Oct. 1883; that notice was published for its probate in the Glenwood Opinion a weekly newspaper in Mills County, Iowa three consecutive weeks, the last publication being ten days before the time appointed for its probate; that on said time appointed, the execution of said will was duly proved by the subscribing witnesses thereto; and also that the said testator at the time of its execution was of full age, sound disposing mind and memory, and free to act. It was then and there adjudged and ordered by the court that the aforesaid instrument was duly executed and that the same be admitted to Probate as the last Will and Testament of T. M Blair.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have attached the seal of this Court and subscribed my name this 6th day of May 1884.
