WILL OF WILLIAM SCHICK, MILLS COUNTY IOWA Book 4 1902
Know all men by these presents: I, William Schick, of the County of Mills, in the State of Iowa, being the age of sixty
four years and of sound mind, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, that is to say:First - I direct that all my lawful debts, the expenses of my last sickness and burial, and the administration of my
estate be first paid, and subject thereto.Second - I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Sophia Schick the following property, to wit: The East half
of the North West Quarter of Section No. Thirteen of Township Number Seventy one, North of Range No. Forty
West of the Fifth P.M. in Mills County, Iowa, and all of my personal estate, and all other real estate I may hereafter
acquire and of which I die seized, all of said estate both real and personal to have, hold and use, with all the rents,
income and profits arising therefrom, for her sole use and pleasure during the term of her natural life; and at her
death I direct that it be subdivided as follows:Third - Subject to the provisions hereinbefore stated, I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Clites and to her
heirs and assigns a one fifth share of all of my estate both real and personal.Fourth - Subject to the provisions hereinbefore stated, I give and bequeath to my daughter Emma Liston and to her
heirs and assigns a one fifth share of all my estate both real and personal.Fifth - Subject to the provision hereinbefore stated, I give and bequeath to the five children of my deceased daughter
Fannie Naverte, and to their several heirs and assigns a one fifth share of my estate both real and personal,
provided however that there shall be deducted from the said shares the face value of all notes executed by the father
of the said Naverte children and held by me at my death, if any such notes shall remain unpaid at my death or at the
time of the final settlement of my estate.Sixth - Subject to the provisions hereinbefore stated, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Schick, and to his heirs
and assigns a one fifth share of all my estate both real and personal, provided however that there be charged to him
as part of said share the certain One Thousand Dollars credited to him in the purchase price of the farm for which
deed was executed by me to him on March Seventh 1902, provided further there shall be charged no interest on
said sum.Seventh - Subject to the provisions hereinbefore stated, I give and bequeath to my daughter Ella Schick, and to her
heirs and assigns a one fifth share in all my estate both real and personal.I hereby nominate my brother Charles Schick to be the trustee for the several shares going to the children of my
deceased daughter Fannie Naverte and direct that said several shares be paid to them when they have severally
attained their majority, provided however said several sums may be sooner expended for the education of said
several children if in the judgment of the Court it seems wise so to do.I hereby nominate my said brother Charles Schick to be the executor of this my last will and testament.
