MALVERN IOWA December 31st 1900
I Abram Arwine of Mills County Iowa, being of sound mind though of feeble health and conscious of the uncertainty of
life do hereby make publish and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking any and all wills heretofore
by me made, give unto my beloved wife Rebecca Arwine all of my property both real and personal being as follows,
certain moneys deposited in the bank of Malvern, Iowa, also a note against F. A. Johnson all of said notes and
certificates amounting to about $1100, and any and all other personal property which I may die seized of of whatever
kind or description and also my real estate lying in Section 5 in White Cloud township Mills County Iowa and known
as lot #9 and N. part of 10 in said section. I give unto her the full use and benefit of all of my said property to have
and to hold and to own for her personal use and care during the term of her natural life but she is to have only the
use control or rental of my said real estate during her life but at her death it shall be distributed as follows:I especially charge my daughter Harriett Himebaugh with the care of her mother and direct that she shall at all times
keep and care for her and watch over her and in all conditions and at all times endeavor to minister to her comfort
during the life of my said wife, and at her death I desire that out of my estate then remaining that there shall be paid
to each one of my sons Evan, Henry, Josiah and Ellwood if they shall survive me, and to my daughter Jane Spalding
if she shall be then living the sum of twenty-five and no/100 dollars, but first direct that out of the personal property
which shall be and is above given to my said wife that she shall first pay of my just debts including the expenses of
my last sickness and burial and at her death all such debts and expenses of her last sickness and burial shall be
first paid and then the amounts as above set forth shall be paid to my four sons and daughter if then surviving and if
not then to their legal heirs or representatives and then the entire amount of my personal estate shall be given to my
said daughter Hattie Himebaugh to have to hold and to own an entirely and absolutely her own and also that she
shall be given the real estate above described or any other that I may at the time of my death own to have hold and
own as entirely and absolutely her own to use, control or sell and convert to her own use and benefit in return for the
care of her mother, in case I shall survive my wife I direct that the above amounts as set forth be paid to my sons
and daughter Jane and the balance both real and personal be and become the property of my said daughter Hattie
Himebaugh.In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of Almighty God and these two witnesses and have
declared that this my last will and testament and have requested them to sign same as witnesses. Done in White
Cloud township, Mills county, Iowa, this 31st day of Dec 1900.
