While cutting timber near his home, Daniel Barber, 31 years old, a farmer living near Liscomb, was struck by a falling tree, sustaining injuries which resulted in his death two hours later. The body was terribly crushed. Barber leaves a wife, four children and a brother, Victor, of Cedar Rapids.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born in 1882 and died Feb. 12, 1913. He is buried in the Liscomb Cemetery.
