HAPPENINGS OF INTEREST TWENTY-
FIVE YEARS AGO IN MARSHALLTOWNA. J. Cramer, aged 52, a well-known farmer of Logan Township, and a resident of the township for thirty-five years, was struck by lightning and killed at the Paul farm, near Laurel. Mr. Cramer was on his way to Laurel when a storm overtook him. He drove into the Paul barnyard, put up his horses, and was leaning against a post in the stable when the bar was struck. Cramer was killed instantly and the barn was ignited but not burned.
