Clear Creek – Samuel Thompson, aged veteran, of State Center, died after a brief illness at his home Wednesday. The funeral was held Friday at 2 p.m. and interment in the Rhodes cemetery beside his wife. He lived in the vicinity of Clyde many years after the death of his wife. He made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Sadie Corbett. He leaves two sons, John and Sam, four daughters, Mrs. Sam Dodd, Mrs. Lina Norris, Mrs. Chas. Signs, and Mrs. Corbett, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and two brothers, John Thompson Sr. and Joe, of Nebraska.
