AGED MAN DIES SUDDENLY

George E. Stevenson, Aged 82, Passes Away Wednesday Night

George E. Stevenson, aged 82, father of Mrs. A. S. Morey, 606 East Boone street, died suddenly Wednesday night at 11:30 shortly after he had gone to bed. Altho he had been in failing health for several years, suffering from arterial sclerosis, Mr. Stevenson had been able to be up and about the house as usual. He suffered a severe fit of coughing Wednesday, and it was during one of these attacks that he passed away. Coroner F. H. Boucher, who was called, pronounced death due to senility and the arterial trouble. Mr. Stevenson was a native of England, and came to this country when very young. Since 1893 he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Morey, who has lived in this city for about five years. Aside from the daughter, at whose home he died, Mr. Stevenson is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Ida King, of Madrid, N.Y., and one son Milo Stevenson of Gifford. Funeral services were held from the Morey home at 1 o'clock this afternoon in charge of Rev. C. H. Morris. Burial was in Riverside.
