BOY DIES FOLLOWING EMERGENCY OPERATION

Robert Elmer Large, Jr., 5 years old, a kindergarten pupil in the Aaron Palmer school, died at 7:50 p.m. at the Deaconess hospital of surgical shock following an emergency operation for ruptured appendix. The child attended school Wednesday, but became ill late in the afternoon and was taken to the hospital at 5:45 p.m. An operation was performed immediately, but the boy died a short time afterword. He was born in this city Oct. 30, 1934, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Large, 402 Union street. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Betty Lucile, 12, and Dorothy May, 2, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Brown and Elmer Large of this city and Mrs. W. H. Warner of Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Estel funeral home in charge of the Rev. C. Bell. Burial will be in Riverside.
