DEATH CALLS
Clifford Tweed Succumbs to Fatal Disease.

A sad ending of a young life is chronicled this week. Clifford Jesse, the four-year-old son of Mrs. Rachel Tweed, after an illness of about ten days from what was first diagnosed as typhoid, but later developed signs of spinal meningitis, grew rapidly worse at the end of the week and died Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The case is particularly sad by reason of the fact that death has been all too frequent a visitor in this home during recent years. The husband and father, Knudt Tweed, died three years ago. In the ten years preceding his death they had buried three other children. The death of the father, to be followed so soon by the loss of the baby of the family, is well nigh heart rending and Mrs. Tweed has the genuine sympathy of our people in her bereavement. The mother and two other children survive - Keitha, aged 12, and Leland, 8 years old. Burial was held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Stavanger cemetery, preceded by a brief prayer service at the grave.
