MRS. EVA ALEXANDER DIES AT SAC CITY;
Service At Liscomb

Liscomb--(Special)--Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Alexander, formerly of Liscomb, who died at 3 p.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Fickle at Sac City, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Liscomb Christian church in charge of Rev. George W. Biersborn. Burial will be in the family lot in the Liscomb cemetery. Mrs. Alexander was the daughter of the late J. C. and Mary Meyers and was born on the Meyers homestead Nov. 29, 1869. The Meyers family settled at Liscomb in 1849 and was one of the best known pioneer families in the community. She married Walter Alexander at Liscomb Aug. 23, 1888 and they lived here, and at Sac City and Marshalltown, where he was a jeweler. He died In 1930 and since that time she has lived with her daughter and also spent some time with her brother, the late William B. Meyers. The only survivor among her father's family, is a brother, Frank, of Long Beach, Calif. Other survivors, besides the daughter at Sac City, are a son Hobart of Omaha, Neb., and a daughter, Mrs. Gus Beeler of Lanesboro. Three children preceded her in death. There are 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Dr. B. M. Biersborn of State Center is a nephew and Mrs. Harold Galloway and Mrs. William Boyd of Liscomb are nieces. Mrs. Alexander was active in the work of the Christian church and was also a member of the Rebekahs and Order of the Eastern Star.
