Forrest R. Hixson, 73 of Marshalltown, died Aug. 11, 1988 at his home.

He was born January 17, 1915 to S. F. and Ethel Mae Lynch Hixson in Malcom.

He was raised and educated in What Cheer and attended What Cheer schools.

He was married to Freida Bennedict in 1936 and they subsequently divorced. He then married Donna Jean Howard July 3, 1954 in Marshalltown.

Mr. Hixson was a management supervisor for Fisher’s retiring in 1980. Mr. Hixson was a member of the Grace United Methodist church, Fisher’s 25-Year Club and the Associated UAW Retirees.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; three sons, Forrest Larry, Gary Robert and Dennis Keith; seven grandchildren; a brother, Vernon and a foster brother, Lyle T. Lynch.

Services were held Aug. 14 at the Pursel-Davis Chapel with Rev. Ed Zelley and Rev. Richard Sebeniecher officiating.

Burial was at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Marshalltown, IA.
