JAMES F. WILEY DEAD

Farmer of Iowa Township Dies of Pernicious Anemia

James F. Wiley, aged 62, a farmer of Iowa township and a half brother of Charles T. Wiley, of the same neighborhood, died at his home one and one-half miles northeast of Albion at 4:45 this morning. Death resulted from pernicious anemia. Mr. Wiley’s health began to decline three years ago. He grew worse steadily, but it was not until a month ago that he was forced to take to his bed. Mr. Wiley was born Sept. 20, 1851 near Pittsburg, Pa. His parents moved to Owen county, Indiana, when Mr. Wiley was a small boy. He married Miss Paulina E. Fulk Feb. 22, 1881. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley came to Iowa a year after their marriage and settled in Audubon county. They lived there until 1902, when they moved to the farm near Albion. Mrs. Wiley and one son, Austin O. Wiley, and a daughter, Mrs. Hattie E. Bridgeman, both of Iowa township, survive Mr. Wiley. A brother, Robert Wiley, lives at Audubon. Three sisters also survive their brother. They are Mrs. Mary Ziegler, Houston, Tex.; Mrs. Jane Plummer, Brooklyn, Ind., and Mrs. Mattie Bonnett, Gary, Ind. The funeral will be held at the Bethel Grove church Monday afternoon at 2. Burial will be in the Bethel Grove cemetery.
