Mrs. Maud Fiscus, aged 28 years, the wife of H. L. Fiscus, died at the home of Mr. Fiscus’ father, Albert Fiscus, five miles northwest of Albion, at 5 o’clock Wednesday afternoon of pulmonary tuberculosis. Mrs. Fiscus had been sick for about two years. Last October she and her husband and family moved to Weatland, Wyo., in the hope that the change of climate would benefit Mrs. Fiscus’ health. She grew gradually worse, and with her husband returned May 4. Mrs. Fiscus, who was Miss Maud Hauser, was born near Bethel, Sept. 28, 1880, and was reared and lived most all of her life in the neighborhood. She was married to Mr. H. L. Fiscus on Aug. 28, 1900. Mrs. Fiscus was a life long member of the Christian church. In addition to the husband, she is survived by three children, Genevieve, aged 6; Nina, aged 2; and Edna, aged 2 ˝ months. She also has one sister, Mrs. Bertha McKibben, of Conrad; one half-sister, Miss Minnie Vanslyke, and her stepfather, George Vanslyke, both of near Liscomb. Mr. Fiscus departed for Wheatland only Tuesday night to look after work on the farm. An effort is being made to intercept him with a telegram, and he is expected to return here tonight or Friday. Until he is heard from no arrangements for the funeral will be made.
