Richard “Dick” Tucker, 70, of Fredonia, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at 5:23 a.m. at River’s Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa, following a long illness. A retired correctional officer at Kentucky State Penitentiary and member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Fredonia, he was born July 28, 1936, in Marshalltown, Iowa, a son of the late George Barrett and Lora Buchanan Tucker. He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Tucker. Survivors include his wife, June Perkins Tucker; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Missi Tucker of Fredonia; three grandchildren, Bayley Tucker, Emma Tucker and Ben Tucker; a sister, Barbara Cunningham of Campbellsville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Curtis Franklin officiated the service. Burial followed in Fredonia Cemetery.
