Mary Ann Wood, 76, passed away at home on Monday, Sept. 5, 2005. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Mary Ann lived in the Des Moines area since 1999 and had also lived in Mt. Pleasant, SC, Ankeny, Marshalltown and Sioux City.
She was a homemaker and worked for Northwestern Bell in operator services. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Proud Steward for CWA Local 7102 and the Telephone Pioneers.

Mary Ann is survived by three daughters, Connie Mahan of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Teresa Wood (Greg Gilsdorf) of Midwest City, OK and Amy Gale (Tony) of Des Moines; two sons, Tom Wood of Omaha, NE and Hobie (Julie) Wood of Dubuque, IA; brother John Hines of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in deathy by her parents Thomas and Agnes Hines and brother Michael Hines.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Westover Funeral Home. The body will be cremated. Memorial may be directed to Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The family of Mary Ann Wod would like to thank Mercy Hospice for their home care and all their care and kindness.
