Anna Carter 1843-1918

Saturday, April 27, 1918

Miss Anna Carter, an old resident of the county died of apoplexy, at Albion. Miss Carter was stricken early in July, and since the middle of July had been living at the Dennis home, where she had a third stroke which resulted in her death.

Miss Carter was born May 15, 1843 in Morgan County, Indiana and came to Marshall County in 1863 living on a farm north of this city, going to Albion in 1874, where for a number of years she lived with her sister, Miss Susannah Carter, who died in the spring of 1914 in this city. For about fifteen years Miss Anna Carter taught in the schools of the county.

Surviving Miss Carter are two sisters, Mrs. Mary M. Collins of this city and Mrs. Philip L. Collins of Taylor Township.

The funeral will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Albion, burial following in the Albion Cemetery.
