Paul F. “Punch” Williams, 68, of Marshalltown, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at his home while in the care of his loving family and Iowa River Hospice. Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be held at a future date. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the service time on Wednesday. Memorials may be made in Paul’s name to the organization of your choice. For condolences, please visit the funeral home's website. Born on October 23, 1939, at St. Thomas Hospital in Marshalltown, he was the son of George and Josephine (Cutler) Williams. He graduated from Marshalltown High School and went on to college at the University of Colorado - Boulder and the University of Iowa. He met his future wife, Patricia Jaeger, while attending the University of Iowa, and they were married on August 31, 1962, in Wapello, Iowa. The couple lived in Marshalltown until 1978, and then moved to Mt. Pleasant, Florida, North Carolina, returning to Marshalltown in January of 2002. Punch worked as a real estate appraiser in Iowa, Florida, and North Carolina, retiring in 2002. He was a past member of Kiwanis, Ducks Unlimited, Elks, and Elmwood Country Club. He and Pat enjoyed remodeling homes together. Punch also liked golfing, hunting, fishing, and being with friends. He loved people, always had a good time and at times could be very ornery. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of more than 44 years, Pat; his 3 daughters, Juli (Robert) Hinson of Garwin, Mary (Curt) Kajer of Toledo, and Erin Williams of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Sara Hinson, Hannah Hinson, William Kajer, and Grace Kajer; and his siblings, Judith Cameron, Linda (James) York, Tom (Julie) Williams, Helen (Dale) Claussen, and John (Susan) Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Phillip, and his sister Cassandra.
