Sharon Ann (Mich) Gerrie, 60, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Marshalltown, died May 11, 2008, in Las Vegas. A memorial gathering was held May 17 at the home of her brother, Richard Mich, 1100 Cardinal Crest Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89144. Raised in Marshalltown, Iowa, Sharon spent most of her adult life in the arts as an actress, writer and producer. In 1977 she moved to Houston, Texas, to co-found the Comedy Workshop which launched the careers of dozens of actors and comedians. In 1994, she moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where she became first a talent agent and then a journalist.
Her friends and family will miss her playfulness, insight and creative spirit. Sharon is survived by husband, Andy Gerrie; her son, Andrew Menzel; her brother, Richard (Lillian) Mich; and nephew, Jonathan Mich.
