Wilma (Kinart) Tschopp was born October 28, 1918 in Jasper County to James and Effie Kinart. She attended Newton Schools and graduated from Newton High School. On June 22, 1938 she married John H. Tschopp. They lived on a farm northeast of State Center for 33 years before moving to Nevada in 1971. While in Nevada Wilma was active in the Red Cross and Hospital Auxiliary. They later moved to Marshalltown and lived at the Bobcat Estates until Wilma moved to Grandview Nursing Home in April of 2004. Wilma had attended First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1996, her parents, sisters Veda, Vera and Dorothy, her brother, Wayne, and two brothers in infancy. She is survived by her special friend, Sally Wogen, and her family. Following cremation, there will be a private graveside burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama, Iowa.
