Veteran Nearly 100 Years Old
Dies Tursdy

Wshington P Conger, a civil war veteran who would have been 100 years old had he lived until next Aug. 30, died Thursday afternoon at 3:20 o'clock at the Iowa Soldiers' Home hosital of infirmities of age. He was admitted to the home Dec. 4, 1919, from Marshalltown.

He was born Aug. 30, 1834, at Wilkes Harre, Pa. Mr. Conger enlisted in Company H, 146th Illinois infantry, Sept. 8, 1864, at Wyanette, Ill., and was discharged July 8, 1865 at Springfield, Ill

Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs Lottie Dineen, of Victor, Mont. and Mrs. Randa Cook,of Topeka, Kan, and four sons, G. E and Calvin Cogerof 511 South Street,city; Dae H. Conger, 302 South First Street, city and Pear; Conger, of Frazee, Minn.

Funeal services will be held from the home chapel at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in Riverside.
