Charles Brierly Dies

Father of Fre R. Brierly Succumbs to Heart Problem

Charles F. Brierly died at 4:20 Sunday morning of heart trouble at the home of his son, Fred R. Brierly, 108 North Eighteenth Street. Mr. Brierly had been in poor health for years and had been ill since Christmas.

He was born in Prinston, Ill., Jan. 29, 1853, and came to Marshall county in 1875. In 1883 he married Amanda Winters, of near this city. He lived in the county all of his life with the exception of a few years in Wyomong. Mrs. Brierly died March 18. 1913, and two children died in infancy. Mr. Brierly is survivied by the following children: Mrs. Hazel Wombaker, Encampment, Wyo, and Mrs. W. E. Dawwon, Herbert, Louis, Fred and Walter Brierly all of this city. Mr. Brierly was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday from the Estel Funeral Home, with Rev F. M. Wheeler in charge. Burial will be in the Iowa River Church of the Brethren Cemetey, four miles east of the city.
