Roy Winters Dies Sunday at age 66

Roy Winters, 66, of 607 Marion St., died at the Evangelical Hospital Sunday evening where he had been a patient since Wedmesday. Death was atributed to a heart complication.

Born Sept. 1, 1892, in Marshall County,, he was the son of Frank and Margaret Mills Winters. He received his education in Marshall County Rural Schools and had always been a resident of this area.

For several years he was employed by the City Water Depatment and had also worked in several factories. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother. Mr. Winters served with the Army during World War I.

Surviving are four brothers and a sister, Ray and Edward of Marshalltown, Albert of Council Bluffs, Lyle of Vallejo, Callif., and Mrs. Pearl Miller of Collinsville, Ill. Also surviing are seveal neices and nephews.

Services will be held from the Chapel at the Estel-Perin Funeral Homeat 1:30 p.m. Tursday. Burial will be in the Iowa Soldiers Home Cemetery.
