Verne James Clemons

Verne was a Major League Baseball catcher who played for the St Louis Cardinals from 1919 until 1924. He was born on September 8, 1891 in Clemons Iowa. He is buried at Bay Pines National Cemetary Florida. It is believed that he is the grandson of William Mathis Clemons who is buried in the Clemons Iowa cemetary.
