Garwood, Omar Elvin, lawyer; b. near Marshalltown, Iowa, July 6, 1878; s/o George W. & Susan G.; ed. at Univ. of Colorado; memb. Heart and Dagger, varsity football, 1908, '09, '10, winner of Colorado state oratorical contest, 1901 and representative of Colorado in interstate contest, 1901; initiated by Colorado Zeta, Sept. 21, 1896, affiliated with Colorado Chi, 1897; brother of Dr. Harold Gould Garwood, Colorado Chi; president of Eta province, 1908-12; delegate to S.A.E. Nat'l conventions Atlantic city, 1909, and Kansas City, 1910; deputy district attorney at Denver for two years, secretary of the Univ. of Colorado for seven years; memb. republican county central committee for last four years, instructor at Boulder Law School part of one year; author of several articles on Practical Workings of Equal Suffrage in Colorado; m. Jeanne Coulter, 1906. Residence, 610 W. Seventh Ave., office, 315-317 Tabor Opera House Block, Denver, Colo.
