MEMORIAL IDNancy A. Park was born June 23, 1947 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Jack and Margaret(Johnson)Park.
She was raised in Knoxville, where she enjoyed riding her horse and played on the state championship golf team during high school. Nancy graduated with the Knoxville High School Class of 1964. Subsequently, the golf team she played on was inducted into the Iowa High School Hall of Fame. Following high school, she attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1968. Nancy then moved to San Francisco where she worked for Bekins Van Lines in logistics. From San Francisco, she relocated to Chicago where she lived many years. Nancy was a very successful agent in the Chicagoland real estate market. In 2003 she moved to Florida and continued to work in the real estate business. In February of 2006 Nancy moved back to Knoxville.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and socializing with her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Mater; brother, Tom Park; step-father, Dr. D.A. Mater; biological father, Jack Park and her sister, Mary Lynn Albert.
Those left to mourn her passing include her siblings, Dwight Mater, Jr. and wife Brenda of Knoxville and Howard Mater and Sally Mater of Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews: Dwight Mater III and wife Patti of Buffalo Grove, IL, and their children, Stephanie and Daniel; Mark Mater of West Des Moines; Dee(Ron)Mater-Heuschele and daughter Sarah of Lake Villa, Il and Jessica(Chris)Duran of Richardson, TX.
Service 2 pm 12/18/2011 at First United Methodist Church Knoxville, Iowa. Burial in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials, Bright Kavanagh House, Des Moines, Iowa.
