Chad Michael Little was born November 3, 1976 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Mike and Mary (Self) Little.
Chad attended school in Indianola through the 4th grade, at which time his family moved to Pleasantville. He graduated with the Pleasantville High School Class of 1995. In June of 1995 Chad entered the United States Army. He served his country for 3 years before he was honorably discharged in October of 1998. Following his discharge, Chad moved to Knoxville. Chad worked for Weitz Construction in Des Moines. He started at an entry level position and worked his way through the company. He was currently a Superintendant. Chad was a 100 % union man and was a proud member of the Laborers Union Local 177.
His greatest joy was his children; Chad loved spending time with the kids. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushrooming. He also liked NASCAR, sports and was a Raiders, Hawkeye and Cardinals fan.
Chad passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 34 years, eleven months and 28 days.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond Little and Marion Self and his uncle, Rod Schippers.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Austin Ray, Justin Chad and Reagan Marie all of Knoxville; his parents, Mike and Mary of Pleasantville; his sister, Teresa (Don) Jenkins and nephew Dillon of Manassas, Virginia; grandparents, Rose Self of Bussey and Joanne Day of Chariton and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Chad Little age 34 of Pleasantville will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the Spurgeon Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. on Friday at the Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chad's children.
