Madeline B. Marshall, 90, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2005 at the Griffin Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Madeline was born, 1915, in Knoxville and lived there most of her life. She served in the WAC during WWII, and was employed in Dietetic Services at the Knoxville VA prior to her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, UMW, Rebekah Lodge and the Business and Professional Women's Club.

She is survived by four children that she and her late husband, Bill helped raise; Wanda (Cliff) Brewer, Joy (Dwight) Vickroy, John Betterton and Linda (Leland) Shelton and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Radio Ministry or to Hospice of Pella.
