PELLA - Beverly A. Rozenboom, 59, of Pella, died Thursday, Aug. 22, at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella.

Her funeral service is 1:30 p.m. today, Aug. 26, at Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella, the Rev. Kenneth A. Dykstra officiating. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Pella. Memorials: Hospice of Pella Comfort House.

Beverly Ann Winegar was born April 9, 1943, in Mitchellville to Gilford Robert and Jane Klein Winegar. In 1945 her parents moved to Pella, and Beverly was educated at Webster Grade School, and graduated from Pella High School in 1961.

In 1961, she married Virgil Duane Rozenboom. They farmed north of Pella, and later moved into Pella.

Beverly did cleaning at Central College and worked for Schiebout Tire Co., and then at the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella; while at COC she became a certified nursing assistant. She later worked at the Marion County Care Facility for four years.

In April 2001 a stroke forced her to quit working. In June 2002, she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Pella. She was a member of the Tuesday Nighters card club. She enjoyed talking, feeding squirrels, bird-watching and taking care of her dog, Lucky.

She is survived by two children and spouses: Ron and Audri Rozenboom of Pella, and Carrie and Scott McIntyre of Altoona; four grandchildren: James Daniel and Wesley Duane Rozenboom, and Alyssa Clair-Ann and Austin Thomas McIntyre; her father, Gilford Winegar of Pella; a brother and sister-in-law: Melvin William and Linda Winegar of Oskaloosa; a sister and brother-in-law: Ruth Elaine and Doug Roorda of Pella; three nephews and a niece: Curtis and Craig Winegar, Adam and Ashley Roorda.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dannie in 1981; her mother, Jane Klein Winegar, in 1998; and her sister, Marilyn Winegar.
